Time Management

Tips

Author Stephanie Culp has published a number of books and articles about time management, organization and "streamlining your life." They are full of tips on subjects such as procrastination, paper sorting, filing, scheduling and many others. An activity I enjoy with my class is passing out some of these tips on a subject, such as procrastination, and having students walk around the classroom, sharing their tips with each other for about five minutes.

Assignment

  1. Look at the current semester guide and plan your major assignment and test dates to create a calendar for your students.
  2. Determine the three biggest problems your students seem to face with time management issues and list one idea you might try for each.
  3. Reflect on how you are a role model for time management and organization to your students.
